December Karaoke Meetup?

Hi everyone! My name is Laura. I've recently moved to Portland and I'm really excited to get involved in the gothic & lolita community out here. I LOVE karaoke boxes so I was hoping to organize a karaoke meet up for the comm..

A karaoke box place called Voicebox recently opened up in NW Portland!
Would anyone be interested in having a meet up there next month? Their website is here, if you'd like to check it out for yourself. It says that they charge $7/hr per person. They have boxes that can hold from 8 to 24 people. The minimum time charged is one hour and then after that it is charged in 15 minute increments.

Since I'm new to the community, I'm not sure of the ages of everyone.. here is some info that I copy and pasted from the Voicebox site about age restrictions:
Minors are welcome at Voicebox until 9pm. Minors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Minors between 13 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult after 6pm.
Due to OLCC restrictions, alcoholic beverages may not be served in any karaoke box containing minors, even if parents or guardians are present.

I'm not sure if anyone has been karaoke boxes in the past, but I used to frequent them back when I lived in Michigan. They are sooo much fun! And they have karaoke in multiple languages. I think there is like one big company that supplies the song lists for Japanese karaoke here in the U.S. and so I'm sure they will have a good selection of anime theme songs and whatnot :) If their songlist is in kanji/hiragana, I can help with looking up songs for people who don't read Japanese.

Anyways~ I was thinking sometime during the weekend of December 12th (meaning Friday, Saturday or Sunday)? They are open from 1pm to 2:30am. If you're interesting in going let me know what day/time you are available. If that weekend doesn't work for you, let me know what days would be good :D
